How My Embroidery Journey Began…

My journey with embroidery began in the serene company of my grandmother in her Brooklyn apartment, a haven from my unsettled childhood. Her gentle guidance in hand-stitching kindled a love that has grown into my solace and strength through life’s tumultuous waves. From overcoming personal losses to finding joy in quiet moments, cross stitch has been my constant companion, helping me stitch together the fragmented pieces of my past with every cross and thread.

Featured in Homespun Magazine and Boston Magazine, my designs are crafted to offer you not just patterns but a peaceful escape into the world of meticulous and mindful creation. They say stitching is in my roots—tracing back to my great grandfather, a Lithuanian coal miner who also tailored clothes and quilts, and a grandfather who sold linens. This legacy fuels my passion for continuing a family tradition of creating with care and love.

I now live in a cozy tiny home on the North Shore of Boston with my husband, Tom, and our spirited rescued beagle, Ellie. When I’m not designing patterns or stitching, I advocate for the homeless and provide counsel at a crisis evaluation center, striving to make a difference in the world.
